Take the
asphalt of the Rota do Sol road, near Ponta Negra Beach (RN-063
Road).
After a while, you will see a rocket in the middle of the road. This is Barreira
do Inferno Rocket Launching Base, created on October 12th of 1965.
Nowadays it only launches meteorological rockets. Near there you will get to
Cotovelo Beach, a beautiful beach with red cliffs, where you can taste delicious
shellfish plates.
This is Pirangi, one of the most visited destinies in Rio Grande do Norte State.
It is especially famous by possessing the largest cashew tree in the world,
listed in the Guinness Book. With a variety of buildings, paved streets and a
certain urban air, Pirangi has many good restaurants and inns.
Pirangi is also famous by its reefs with natural pools. Once there, nothing
better than taking a boat ride to the coral reefs, and ideal place for
snorkeling and bathing.
